Answer
Hi Tracy,

There is a publication called "Stroke Connection Magazine". The publication is published six times a year by the American Heart Association. You can reach them at 1-888-4-stroke.

and, there  are also two websites of stroke associations.

The American Stroke Association is:

http://www.strokeassociation.org

The National Stroke Association is:

http://www.stroke.org

They are excellent resources where you may be able to get the information that you need.

I had a stroke nearly ten years ago. The stroke affected my left side and my mobility. My speech and cognitive faculties were not as affected as I was physically and mobility wise.

My company provides products, resources and solutions and does consulting work regarding adaptive home environments for seniors, the physically challenged and disabled. Especially for people who have had a stroke.

If you need any help adapting your home for your father's needs or any special products for any physical limitations that have occurred as a result of the stroke, please write me at [email protected].

I would be glad to share any information that I've gained as a result of my own disability.
