Most diseases are very painful. Some diseases heal; some do not. However, there are kinds of disease that can be treated in its early stages. However, there some conditions that cannot be treated anymore. Arthritis is a disease that usually affects women and adults. It affects different parts of the body. Arthritis is the damage of joints and it comes in several forms. Some forms of arthritis are severe and may lead to death. However, there are ways to prevent arthritis and to help ease the pain.

Rheumatoid Arthritis is a serious type of arthritis. For some unknown reasons the body's own immune system starts to attack body tissues. This disease affects different parts of body including joints in wrist, fingers, and elbow; if not treated this results in deformity. Mostly, rheumatoid arthritis attacks adults aged 20 and above. This disease cannot be cured, yet can be prevented from causing degeneration.

Another type is the osteoarthritis. Like rheumatoid arthritis, it is also a form of arthritis that cannot be cured. However, unlike rheumatoid arthritis it affects the persons whose age exceeds 65 years. This disease not only affects small joints in the body, but also larger joints and even the whole body. Through exercise, healthy diet, and medications, patients with this type of arthritis may lessen the pain from getting worse.

Psoriasis is like the first two types of arthritis; however, psoriasis cannot be cured. This disease is a continuous joint pain, swelling, and stiffness. Most of the persons with psoriasis experience the effects in the skin resulting in skin problems. The disease destroys small joints in the hand and may lead to disability.

Gout is another type of arthritis where deposition of uric acid causes joint inflammation. In its early stage, gout affects only one joint, but sooner, the damaged will affect many other joints in the body. It is the most painful type of arthritis that a person can get. A person with gout will experience extreme pain when the affected area touches something.

Infectious arthritis is a severe form of arthritis. Some bacteria in the body cause this condition. It must be treated as soon as possible to prevent and permanently avoid joint damage.

Another form of arthritis is Infectious arthritis. This kind is due to bacteria elsewhere in the body. It is a severe form of this disease, where symptoms are onset of chills, joint pains, and fever.
