At this time about one in six people suffers from some form of this disease and so they are keen to learn of some simple, easy remedies for Arthritis Joint Pain. When your joints are stiff, swollen and painful, it's a fair bet that Arthritis is the cause.Osteoarthritis is the more common form of this disease, being due to wear and tear, whereas Rheumatoid Arthritis is caused when the body's immune system attacks the joints. This article will present some helpful remedies for arthritis and suggestions to assist you in dealing with the arthritis pain.

It is unusual and difficult to find one single solution to arthritis joint pain, unless you opt for heavy doses of anti-inflammatory drugs over a prolonged period. This is not a wise decision.

Even the manufacturers advise against this. The advisory insert in most packets of Ibuprofen painkillers, says something like "The tablets are intended for short term use only. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest time necessary to relieve your symptoms.... You should not take Ibuprofen 200mg tablets for longer than 10 days, unless your doctor tells you to".

Your daily diet can be a big contributory element in the treatment of arthritis. The omega-3 oils are recommended to be consumed because they are rich in vitamin D, which is bone-building and vitamin A, that is inflammation-fighting. Most people favour oily types of fish such as salmon or sardines as their way to get Omega 3 oils. Cold pressed organic flaxseed oil is an alternative, if you don't like fish. Do not use it in excess though, because a large amount of omega-3 oils increases the risk of bleeding problems.

Some foods are linked to arthritis, particularly eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and tobacco. If your arthritis pain changes to a great extent, for better or worse, it may indicate you are allergic to these foods. Also try to avoid vegetable oil that contains omega-6 fatty acids, which aggravate the arthritis symptoms. To avoid this, do not consume margarine, salad dressings, olive oil or fried foods.
