The American Chiropractor Association or the ACA is based in Virginia and is an association operating out of Arlington that has the stated goal of furthering the cause of the chiropractor. The American Chiropractor Association has as its mission the goal of providing leadership in the field of health care and intends to also promote a vision that is positive and which benefits the chiropractor by getting them to adopt an approach to chiropractic that is natural and which helps people live a healthier as well as happier life.

Legislation And Public Policies

Another aspect to the mission of the American Chiropractor Association, providing legislation and enacting public policies help in ensuring that quality of service provided by chiropractors is of the highest standards and which also ensures ethical treatment. In addition the American Chiropractor Association also provides funds for the purpose of not only conducting research but to ensure that the chiropractic profession grows and succeeds in providing the best care to patients.

The American Chiropractor Association came into existence in the year 1963 and it recognizes nine distinct specialty areas that include pediatrics, rehabilitation, internal disorders, diagnostic imaging, neurology, and nutrition as well as orthopedics, occupational health and injuries related to playing sports as well as performing physical fitness exercises.

The American Chiropractor Association owes its existence to the Universal Chiropractors Association that was founded in 1906 at Palmer School of Chiropractic. The Universal Chiropractors Association was founded with the intention of preventing the established medical fraternity from sending chiropractors to jail.

With the passage of time it gave rise to other associations including the American Chiropractor Association which increased the services being offered and included providing doctors with a means to become better educated in chiropractic and to also conduct research on chiropractic practices. As late as the year 1963 the National Chiropractic Association was reorganized to form the American Chiropractor Association which today is engaged in providing public relations services as well as lobbies to further the prospects of modern chiropractors. In addition, the American Chiropractor Association also furthers the goals of chiropractors who wish to become better educated in their field and it also provides leadership to advance the lot of the chiropractor and their profession.

To promote the Christian Chiropractors Association an auxiliary association was founded that aims to support Christian chiropractors as well as their families. In addition it helps to educate Christian chiropractors through opening up chiropractor colleges though the auxiliary association is composed of ordinary men and women.
