Do you look at the mirror and feel that there is just something missing from your face? Studies show that our perception of beauty is inherently tied up with a person’s facial symmetry. A slightly unappealing nose can make a huge difference in the way people perceive you and an unbalanced nose can play a large part in decreased self esteem and generate feelings of inadequacy. So what can you do to remedy this?
A Nose Job, Rhinoplasty or plastic surgery of the nose is a popular procedure that is conducted to aesthetically improve a person’s nose, often making the difference between true beauty and mere attractiveness.
A nose job can include the surgical enhancement of the nose to decrease or increase it’s size, alter its tip or the nasal bridge and trim or enlarge the shape of the nostrils. All of this can effective balance your facial features to achieve true symmetry. A nose job can be carried out not just to reshape the nose but also to correct structural defects that could be causing breathing problems.
To be eligible for a nose job you should ideally be in your mid teens that is fourteen to fifteen if you are a girl and year or two older if you are a boy. This is because at this age the nasal bone matures and our facial bone structure especially the nose stabilizes into its final future shape.
Before finally opting to going for a nose job, it is very important that you discuss your expectations with a plastic surgeon to make sure what you expect is possible and that there are no non invasive alternatives for it. It is very important to have realistic expectations about any plastic surgery as it is mostly elective and closely linked to our self esteem and self image. It is possible that if your feelings of inadequacies are psychological that a surgical solution might not fill the void that you are trying to fill, in which case a perfect nose might not make you feel more beautiful.
Today it is also possible to get a non surgical nose job where the structure of your nose is not altered. This procedure is done by injecting facial fillers and is an excellent method to rectify minor deformities. It is much less expensive than a full blown nose job and can be done faster without require admission in a hospital.
