Causes Of Arthritis

The word arthritis is no Greek and Latin word; rather it is becoming part and parcel of our daily lives. Basically, this word is derived from Greek words arthron that signifies joint and it is that signifies inflammation. Today, the term is used for a variety of joint problems. The major symptoms of these problems are pain, swelling and stiffness. Arthritis simply means changes in the joint. There are two types of arthritis called as Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Other kinds include Gout, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, etc.

The effects of this disease are subtle, but in some cases it can become difficult to handle. Generally RA 1 to 2 out of every 100 people, and this kind of disease is more common among men as compared to women. Arthritis foundation has reinstated the fact that almost every person over the age of 60 years probably has OA to some extent. OA occurs both in men and female after the age of 45 years, but it is more commonly seen in men. It is due to the problem of obesity or overweight.

Causes of Arthritis:
