Arthritis is characterized by the inflammation of joints of certain body parts like hands, wrists, fingers, hips, knees, etc. There is intense and persistent pain and the person is not able to have easy mobility. He experiences stiffness of the joints and pain all over the body. The two common type of arthritis generally seen is the osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The main cause of arthritis can be related to the sedentary lifestyle of people and faulty dietary habits.

There are many natural remedies for the treatment of arthritis and they are becoming popular day by day because they show miraculous results.

Potato juice is said to be a very good natural remedy for arthritis and rheumatic disorders.
Potato juice is supposed to reduce the acidity in the joints and cartilages affected by arthritis. The potatoes are peeled and cut into small pieces and soaked overnight in water. The next day morning, this water is drunk on an empty stomach.

The juice of beetroot, carrot and celery is also an effective home remedy for the treatment of arthritis. Bromelain found in pineapple helps to reduce the inflammation and swelling caused in the joints. Water is stored in a copper container and drunk because it has traces of copper which is good to improve the strength of the muscles. Copper bracelets and rings can also be worn to reduce the pain in the joints.

Following a good dietary habit of eating leafy vegetables, fruits, whole grains, etc are good for arthritis. But care should be taken to avoid eating the vegetables that belong to the nightshade family. For example, tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, etc aggravates the inflammation.

Low carbohydrate food with reduced fat content is good for arthritis. Care should also be taken to avoid junk foods, carbonated drinks, refined sugar products, etc. When flax seed oil is massaged in the hands and legs, it helps to lubricate the joints and is an effective natural remedy for arthritis.
