Question
Several years ago I cracked a rib on my right side, Doc said it would heal, but there are times when I'm sitting a certain way that I hear clicking noise on both sides of my chest.  If I put my hand on it, and breath I can feel it.  I'm 66 years old, have COPD, emphysema, and high blood pressure.  It feel like the bones are detached from the rig cage in the center of my chest.

Answer
Dear Leon,

Thank you for your posting.  I'm sorry to say, however, there is no question in it.

Are you wondering why you hear noises or feel movements of bones?  Unfortunately, such matters as you've described are not within the field of chiropractic but, even so, finding the answers to such questions is better done in-person than through e-mail or any other type of correspondence.  Diagnosis is a difficult task even when done properly!  Doing it at a distance is no better than guessing!  You would be far better getting a qualified opinion from someone who has the opportunity to examine you first-hand.

Leon, I wish you the best with your search for answers.

Sincerely,
James W. Healey, DC
