Question
Hi
I had an injury almost 6 years back and I think it's L4 and L5 disks have overlapped. I took only bed rest and some pain killers at that time and was given a belt. But whenever I get more pain, I took leave and was taking massage and physiotherapy, which will work for couple of months and come back again. Now am at home almost with full rest, but even now if I do little bit of work like vaccum I can't get up the next day. Is there any permanent solution for this and can I go for open surgery or laser? Which is better in terms of success?
Thanks a lot

Answer
Dear Ramya,  I'm sorry for the delay in responding, I was gone. As for surgery, I feel the most important thing is the surgeon. I know a doctor/neurosurgeon who you might consider talking/corresponding with. He can give you a better answer to your questions. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Ken
