Question
I used to be a truck driver but was in a bad accident at work. I hurt my back to the point where I cannot drive a truck. I am on workers comp.I am not the type of person to just sit around and do nothing all day and I would like the opportunity to be retrained in another feild of work. I was making about $1,000 a week as a driver but now workers comp is only paying me $232 per week. I am looking for any government agency or agencies that can offer me financial support so I can afford to go back to school for retraining.      Thank you

Answer
Depending on where you live and state laws, Workman's Comp may pay for training (including collage).

If not all states have an office of Rehabilitation (in many states will be either under DHS or your EDU at state lavel) that can often pay for theses services.

Good Luck,

Robin
