Question
I was a health man before I was manipulated by a chiroprator. Im 21 years old and I was a active person went to the gym took supplements and ate right. I properly lifted weights and took 3 days off working out out of 4 days. Until when I felt pain on my left shoulder I went to a bone adjuster to relieve the promblem, with that he also manipulted my right shoulder. Well after that my upper back near my spine started to hurt. It was especially painful when I put my head down and turn my head to the side. Well i went to the guy again to make the upper back pain go away so he just manipulated my shoulders again to relieve the back pain, nothing happen. SO I did some streching for 3 weeks on my upper back and it went away, but now my right shoulder started to hurt. I then went to a chiropracter to do somthing about my right shoulder he used his hands to manipulate my entire back. Well after I left I dd not feel better. A fews days after I noice my tailbone started to hurt with that my lower back stated to pop when I did crunches ,and vertical leg raises. Well to make long story short, I went to the chiropracter again becuase for me medical doctors coundnt do much. In the third visit everthing changed. When he manipulted my upper back I felt somthing moved inside, which didnt seem normal to me. Afer I left I felt pain on my trapezius muscles. Within a week my entire back started to hurt even my side musucles near my stomach. Well after 1 year has passed I feel a  bit better. But I still have lower and upper back pain mostly on my right side near my spine with that I notice that there are to small spheres that I dont have on my left side. In addition, I took x-rays and the doctor concluded that I have spondolythosis on my L5 partof the spine, he couldnt verify what causes the upper back pain on my right side of my spine, he just said my back muscles are not right meaning there fatiged. So now that I told u whats wrong could it be possible that the chiropracter cause me to have spondolythosis and have back pain while standing and doing activities? If so what did the chiropracter do wrong? And what could I do to relive the promblem, go back to another chiro? Furthermore, before I was manipulated I never felt pain why standing and doing activties, meaning I never inflicted a injury by doing activites. I a hunderd percent sure that the pain I have from by back was inflicted by the chiropracter.

Answer
Dear Gustavo,

It is hard for me to say what cause the pain to your condition without actually performing certain tests.  As for the "spondolythosis," did you mean "spondylolisthesis" or "spondylolysis" or "spondylosis?"  I do not recognize the "spondolythosis" term.  However, the best approach is to get a second opinion and relay the incident to the chiropractor.
