Question
QUESTION: I am a 49 year old female in great health.  BP - 116 over 76, pulse-78 , height-5'7", weight-168 lbs;  BMI- 33% last week I was told is normal, but should be in the 20's.

Yesterday, I started feeling a tingling sensation in my left hand.  Then today I started feeling the same sensation in my left foot.  I walk every day, do stretches, yoga poses and anything to keep my body in motion.  I know I can use a chiropractic adjustment and it may be the need for one is causing the tingling sensations.  I had a buldging disk in the past.  I suppose it may still be buldging.

What do you think?  I'd like to know.

ANSWER: Ruthie,
Your situation is no question a nervous system problem.  Since Doctors of Chiropractic are Nervous System Doctors, you are right that you need to go to a Chiropractor.  The fact that you have (had) a bulging disc as well as your current symptoms, tells me that you have an instability in the spine.  Spinal Instability leaves you susceptible to all types of injuries and malfunctions including diseases over time.
I highly recommend visiting an Upper Cervical Doctor of Chiropractic who specializes solely in the detection and correction of brainstem/spinal cord pressure from a subluxation of C1 and/or C2.
This work is highly specialized and much more specific than your traditional chiropractor practices.  The work also is the most efficient way that I know of to help correct interference and restore the mental impulse so that the brain can heal the body.
If you would like assistance in locating an UC Doctor, just send me your town and state, including the nearest big city to you as well.  I will try and find someone for you and get back to you within a day or two.

Answer
Ruthie,
You are no question in a tough location geographically.  The only person that I may suggest to you, that can help you is my good friend and colleague, Dr Travis Worthman.  His information is below, and remember, even if it is very far and you can only make it out to him once per month, you can still improve from where you are now, but it will more than likely take longer to get corrected.
