Question
Sir,
I have been suffering from following symptoms for the last 2 months.
Shooting pain and tingling in left chest shoulders arms and legs.
Pain in my upper back.
Sometimes pain in my neck and severe pain in either side of my head.
Iam 27 years and work with computer for 8 hours a day approx. Is it because of lack of physical activities.
Request you to let me know the reason why I have the above pains and also kindly suggest me the effective treatments for the same.
Thanks,
Suresh

Answer
Suresh,

The first thing you need to do is see your primary care physician immediately for your chest pain and shooting pain in the arms and legs. These symptoms are suspicious for a possible medical pathology; for example, a possible heart problem and a possible neurological problem should be ruled out.

If further evaluation come up negative for medical problems, then I recommend seeing a musculoskeletal-based chiropractor for further evaluation. Other considerations for the symptoms you're describing of a musculoskeletal nature include possible trigger points in the chest and shoulder region, possible joint dysfunction of the upper back, and possible disc derangement in the neck and lower back.

Please bear in mind that this information is provided for general information purposes and does not substitute proper medical evaluation with a physician.
