Question
Hi,
I am 33 and have been suffering from lower cross syndrome for the last 10 years. I have an extreme pot belly (even though I am not fat) rounded shoulders and a forward protruding head. I hold myself in most of the day and breathe really badly. I have been to Rolfing for around 5 sessions with no sucess  and have recently tried Osteopathy for the last few months without success again. This condition is really getting me down. Please advise on how I can go around correcting this or am I to suffer a ugly posture for the rest of my life.
p.s I am quite flexible and fit. I can easily touch my palms to the ground while standing up and on the psoas stretch I can really give them a good stretch.

Answer
Naz,
It sounds to me like you have not been to the right doctor yet, thats all.  If you are able to travel to the states, we can arrange a week long stay here in St Louis to help you get back on track and then you would need to follow up in a few months.  Don't get too down on yourself, there is hope.  In the meanwhile, can you send me any pictures of your spine that were taken in the last 6 months or so?
Yours in Best Health,
Dr Arnone
