groin tear

Question
My daughter, which is 14, tore her adductor muscle and went through weeks of physical therapy. She was released and still had to do strengthening exercises. She is a softball pitcher,& when she started pitching again she gradually went back. (15-20 mins a day) she built up where it wasn't hurting when she was pitching. She plays varsity softball in high school as a freshman. The coach pitched her and the next day her groin was bruised & tender again. This is turning out to be chronic it seems. It has happened twice now. The first time she was off for 2 months & the 2nd time 2.5. I need some advise to help her.

Answer
It's hard to say without seeing her pitch or describe her pitching mechanics, why she keeps tearing the muscle.I would be interested in looking at her hip joint function on the affected side as well as checking for leg length inequality. I would as advise you to see a sports chiropractor that uses A.R.T. therapy and therapeutic laser.
