Question
I'm having problem with my left arm and fingers,pinky and finger beside it,tingling and being numb.my arm above my elbow feels like someone punched me.It's been like this for a few weeks now.I thought it was the way I slepted on it.Tryed sleeping different,not working.I'm a hairdresser and I need this to stop.Can you help me.

Your symptoms seem to be consistent with an ulnar neuropathy. See this link for some additional information:

It is also possible that myofascial trigger points in the forearm or arm may be causing similar symtoms. Muscles that could produce pain or tingling sensations in the pattern you described include the extensor carpi ulnaris, flexor carpi ulnaris, and flexor digitorum.

You need to see a musculoskeletal specialist to have a proper diagnosis of the condition made in order to know what treatment options would be best for you. Additional testing might need to be done to rule out other possible causes. Hairdressers are prone to trigger point syndromes because of the repetitive arm and hand movements. A musculoskeletal-based chiropractor or massage therapist who is skilled in trigger points would be a good place to start for seeking initial evaluation of your symptoms.
