Question
I have a C7 disc issue.  I have had xray and mri to confirm the C7 is thinning and bulging.  I have been on nortirptyline and has helped with the pain.  They also gave me a epidural and don't think it worked because the pain is still there.  I am wondering what a chiropractor can do to help.  My last option would be surgery.

Colleen congratulations on thinking outside the box. You would do well to see a chiropractor. Here is why . Physical therapy and medication will help with the pain. They won't be as helpful as an adjustment of your cervical spine will do. Taking you description literal that C7 is thinning and bulging tells me that you have DJD or arthritis at some level. The chiropractic adjustment will move the bone taking pressure off the nerve. This will decrease the pain a lot. The added movement will slow the progression of arthritis. Arthritis is 3 things 1- pain , 2- loss of disc height/wearing away end plate and lack of mobility. The adjustment will address mobility and will decrease pain while slowing down degeneration. Go quickly and get the relief you will not get with medication. I hope this answers your question. Hope you feel better soon- Dr Brian
