Question
i have had a mri and it showed degeneration in two discs 5-6 i have had severe neck and shoulder pain and had a cortisone shot 2 years ago and it worked great. i recently had a shot again as the pain is back. the doctor wanted to do surgery 2 years ago and i am looking for other options other than surgery as the shot has not taken effect yet. i had been using chiropractic for 7 years but the results seemed to quit any suggestions

Answer
As for the chiropractic, not all chiropractic is the same.  Some chiropractors do different techniques and get different results.  The reason the shot helped is because there is significant inflammation to that area, what needs done to find the cause of the inflammation.  If it is disc related, you may need surgery.  You may also need an MRI on the shoulder, I don't know exactly where the your discomfort is.  If you have any other questions or concerns, please email me.
