Question
I contacted you yesterday regarding neck pain and migraine. I want to know whether Migraine changes its symptoms during a course of time. What type of regular neck exercises can be done to soften the neck muscles. I also want to know what lifestyle and food habits to maintain to get rid of this problem.

Answer
Hi Rohit,

Usually migraines have nothing to do with the neck and don't change much in patterns. Ice the neck down to decrease any potential inflammation and do isometric neck exercises to help strengthen and 'soften' the muscles. Avoid MSG and artificial preservatives if you suffer from vascular migraines. Decreasing stress anyway possible helps all headaches, staying active and avoiding tobacco and alcohol are good habits.

Take Care!
