Question
at the l3-4 level,their is a disk bulge/osteophyte complex producing mild to moderate bilateral neural foramen stenosis and mild central canal stenosis.
at the l4-5 level theiir is a disk bulge/osteophyte complex and mild bilateral facet arthropy producing effacement of the thecal sac and mild bilateral neural foramen stenosis
l5-s1 mild bilateral facet arthropy. I had the MRi and have had 2 injections . the first injection lasted 1-1/2 wks and on the 2nd he did 2 injections at once and that doesnt seem to be working as I am on the second day. I own a construction co. so my back never gets a rest. after both injections I took of 4 days to rest and let it work.Im on 10 mg hydrocodone and flexerol and they dont even cut the pain by 1/2. any insight into these terms of the mri and any thing I can do to slow or completely elliminate the issue. thanks Shawn

This is a great question, last week the American Pain Society established new guidelines.

Simply stated multiple epidurals and medication does little to effectively correct this problem.
They have found that a Intensive interdisciplinary rehabilitation program works best for correcting this problem.
In my clinic I have found that spinal decompression on the DRX 9000 combined with a physical therapy program has been the best approach when all others have failed.
good luck, do your homework and find a chiropractor that utilizes the DRX 9000 but be sure to integrate your care with physical therapy
