I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT JAN,2008 AT THE TIME I WAS 5 MONTHS PREGNANT AND THE BABY HAS BEEN BORN SINCE AND VERY HEALTHY AND FINE.I DID AN MRI AND IT SAID I HAVE A POSTERIOR DISC BULGES AT C5-6 AND C6-7 WHICH IMPONGE ON THE ANTERIOR ASPECT OF THE SPINAL CORD.CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN TEY MEAN BY THIS.IS THIS A SERIOUS INJURY.

Answer
The disc is the soft jelly like material between your bones on your neck.
Disc's can bulge or herniate and put pressure on the very delicate spinal nerves or the spinal cord.
When there is pressure on the spinal cord this can cause pain or dysfunction.
This is a common injury and if left untreated can grow into a bigger problem.
It is best to addresses this before it becomes a bigger problem.
Treatment should involve physical therapy to build muscle strength,cervical spinal decompression, Chiropractic care.
