The medicines have agents that act to block the prostaglandin, a substance that dilates the blood vessels and causes pain and inflammation. Some common NSAIDs used as back pain remedy are- aspirin, naproxen, ibuprofen, ketoprofen etc.

The medicines are effective for immediate relief but the pain may come back soon after their effect come down. For this reason the doctors advise some exercise and physical therapy sessions. Exercise till date has been rated as the best remedy for back pain. The pain brews in you because of our occupational postures like improper sitting, too much walking, stress and strain. Hence, exercise helps you to overcome the ailment and also keep the body muscles flexible enough to endure strain or stress.
